View From My Morning Coffee

Ashlawn Farm Coffeeshop at the Old Saybrook station

  1. Thanks Chris,

I knew where this was before scrolling down to the caption because of the odd angle of the station roof relative to the track. This roof once sheltered passengers waiting for the train to Fenwick Point, whose line (according to Karr's Rail Lines of Southern New England) crossed the main line here from 1872 to 1922.

    1. Right you are George! I was pretty much sitting on the old CT Valley RR mainline as I sipped my morning joe. I wish somebody made a kit of that station - I'm not eager to scratchbuild it. Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment!
